North Bergen, NJ Mayor Nick Sacco Goes Hip-Hop In New Campaign Ad

(LOST-9FM News) Politician Nick Sacco (D) of North Bergen, New Jersey, has gone Hip-Hop in a new advertising campaign that urges local voters to re-elect him for Mayor.

Mayor Sacco, who also has a seat in the Senate, launched the new ad campaign today (May 5th) with Vision Media Marketing, a North Jersey-based media consulting firm.

The ad's tagline throughout Mayor Sacco's new campaign features a variety of citizens chanting the phrase: "I don't know where you be from, I be from North Bergen, son" over a thumping Hip-Hop beat.

"We needed to find a way to break through the standard format and clutter of positive and negative political ads to really make viewers listen to the real achievements Nick Sacco has brought to North Bergen," Paul Swibinski, President and Principal of Vision Media Marketing.

"The idea of a rap ad represents just one of our many creative approaches over the years to help elect incumbents and challengers alike," added Swibinski, who also acts as Mayor Sacco's spokesman.

The advertisement is aimed at Hip-Hop fans, senior citizens and blue-collar workers, who are all represented in the commercial, which is named "Sacco and the People."
