Former Manager Sues Actor Terrence Howard Over Unpaid Royalties For Roles In Hip-Hop Flicks

(LOST-9FM News) Terrence Howard has been hit with a lawsuit from his former manager, who claims the actor stiffed her on royalties for acting jobs she booked, after she was fired.

Victoria Frederick and LAF Studios filed the lawsuit against Terrence Howard in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday (May 3rd), claiming that he owes her at least $145,000 in unpaid royalties.

Frederick claims that her company entered into an agreement with Terrence Howard's ex-wife Lori Howard in 2004, who was managing his career at the time.

In 2005, Frederick claims she took on the role as Terrence Howard's sole, personal manager, who advised the actor, charted his career and interfaced with his lawyers, agents and publicists.

In exchange for her services, Frederick claims Terrence Howard agreed to give her 10% on all of the amounts he earned in the entertainment business, while she managed his career.

Frederick's lawsuit claims that Howard also agreed to pay residuals for his roles in the movies she booked, even after she was no longer managing him.

She claims that Terrence Howard has refused to pay her commissions, even before she was terminated as his personal manager in January of 2010.

When she was terminated by Terrence Howard in January 2010,
she booked Howard roles in Hip-Hop movies like "Get Rich or Die Tryin'", "Hustle-n-Flow" and "Idlewild."

Frederick also claims that Howard stiffed her on her 10%, after he earned millions for roles in the movie "Fightin'" and "Winnie."

Frederick and LAF Studios are seeking $137,000 in damages from Terrence Howard.
