Exclusive: Guru's Life To Be Celebrated At Tony Touch's 'Toca Tuesdays'; Premier Guest DJ's

(LOST-9FM News) Veteran Hip-Hop DJ Tony Touch will celebrate the life of the late rapper Guru tomorrow (April 19th) during his weekly event in New York, Toca Tuesdays at Sutra.

Fellow Gangstarr member DJ Premier will hit the turntables as this week's guest DJ, with a special tribute to Guru, who died on April 19th, 2010 at the age of 48, from cancer.

"I personally feel that the industry as a whole hasn't really acknowledged his accomplishments…so its our responsibility to do so," Tony Touch told AllHipHop.com.

The tribute to Guru will start at 8:00PM on Tony Touch's "Toca Tuesdays" radio show on Sirius Shade 45/XM 66.

The Guru tribute will then move to Sutra, where his critically acclaimed Hip-Hop event Toca Tuesday's, has been running for almost three years

"He [Guru] is truly missed and this day will be our moment to commemorate one of the greatest MCs ever," DJ Tony Touch told AllHipHop.com. "And what's better than DJ Premier taking us home which is surely going to be a night to remember."
