Canadian Concert Promoter Issues Statement Over Game's Detainment; Comments

(LOST-9FM News) A representative for the concert promoters who booked Compton, California rapper Game to play in the country have issued a statement regarding his detainment yesterday (April 20th) at the country's border.

Game was refused entry into Canada and has been detained by authorities who are processing him and sending the rapper back to California, forcing the cancelation of his "Red Nation" tour dates in Canada.

A rep for The Substance Entertainment Group contacted AllHipHop.com and issued a statement surrounding the concerts and Game's unfortunate detainment by border crossing officials.

"Hip‐Hop artist The Game will not be performing in Canada to support his "Red Nation" tour because of circumstances beyond our control.  All tickets for his
Canadian dates will be available at the point of purchase for a full refund," a rep for The Substance Entertainment Group said.

The company also took a parting shot at Game, who claimed the promoters of the show guaranteed he would be allowed into Canada, which is known for rejecting people who have lengthy criminal records.

"We at the Substance Group appreciate social media and self‐expression ‐ however, we cannot confirm anything released outside of our company is accurate at this time,' the rep told AllHipHop.com.

The Substance Entertainment Group is one of Canada's largest concert promoters, event producers and booking agency, having worked with acts like Justin Bieber, The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and others.
