Bay Area staples Zion I and The Grouch have re-teamed to release their new album Heroes in the Healing of the Nation.
The album is the follow up to 2006's collaborative effort City of Dope with Amp Live and Zumbi of Zion I and The Grouch, who is a member of the Living Legends collective.
The trio's new album features guest appearances from Casual, Mystic, Freeway, Brother Ali, Fashawn, Eligh and others.
“Anyone changing other peoples lives for the better is a hero to me,” said The Grouch, as he explained the meaning behind the new album title.
The majority of production on Heroes in the Healing of the Nation was handled by Zion I's Amp Live.
“People are going through a difficult transition these days,” added Zion I's Zumbi. “We want this album to aid in that process.”
