The star-studded pool tournament, which has been one of the highlights of NBA
This year's event is expected to attract a number of stars and athletes. NBA stars Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul and Shannon Brown have already been confirmed to appear at Alonzo Mourning and Magic Johnson's pool tournament, which benefits the Alonzo Mourning Charities and The Magic Johnson Foundation.
"I am excited to host this event alongside Magic once more," Alonzo Mourning told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (February 8th).
"It is important that we create opportunities like this one, on a national platform, to bring awareness to the community initiatives we support that impact the lives of many children and their families," Mourning said. "This is a fun event where we get the chance to be competitive all for a good cause. Also, having won the tournament a couple times, I look forward to the challenge."
A live auction will also take place during the annual pool tournament, with the proceeds benefiting a variety of charities supported by Alonzo Mourning Charities and The Magic Johnson Foundation.
"I am excited to have All-Star back in L.A. on my home turf," Magic Johnson added. "I look forward to me and Alonzo hosting the hottest event of the weekend again," said Earvin "Magic" Johnson. "I enjoy bringing people together and watching everyone's competitive side come out, all in an effort to raise money for our foundations."
The 6th Annual Zo & Magic's 8-Ball Challenge will take place on Thursday, February 17th at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live.
