AHH Stray News: Lil Wayne Settles Tax Bill, Waka Joins Peta, RZA on Game

Rapper Lil Wayne recently settled a $1.2 million tax bill that was filed against the rapper in June in Dade County, Florida Circuit Court. The rapper forked over $1.13 million dollars to Uncle Sam in December of 2010, to pay off tax liens for the years 2004, 2005 and 2007. This is the second time Wayne has run into issues with IRS in regards to his income. He was also hit with a tax lien in 2008, but the matter was also settled within months, after the rapper paid $977,840 in back taxes.

Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flames has linked with PETA to support the fair treatment of animals. Waka has joined PETA's "Ink, Not Mink" campaign, which features a variety of tattooed celebrities showcasing their body art in support of animal right. In addition to Waka Flocka, celebrities like Carey Hart, Steve-O, Mario, Gilbert Arenas, Amare Stoudemire and others are participating in the PETA campaign. The "Ink, Not Mink" campaign is slated to officially kick off on February 23rd.

Wu-Tang frontman The RZA has released a statement denying reports that he was planning to sue West coast rapper The Game over a track that appeared on his critically acclaimed mixtape, Purp & Patron. The issues started over the song "Heartbreaker," which was originally for Game's upcoming release the R.E.D. Album. Game claimed RZA was threatening to sue him for using the track. RZA previously denied a lawsuit was in the works, but he did slap the rapper with a cease-and-desist, because he was planning on selling the track to someone else, since it was not cleared for Game's R.E.D. Album. "I could never take Game to court," RZA told MTV in a statement. "I love that dude. He is my favorite from the new generation of West Coast M.cees. Also Lil Chuuuch is the last young man I took on as a student and he was ordained by my first student Ason Unique…so its a good look that him and game blessed the same track. Its just we didn't agree to release it or go through proper channels. I'm in Asia and not in tune with the current events. But I'm sure all will end up amicable. Long Live Hip-Hop. Wu-Tang forever. I will see you soon my brother."
