Lohan sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating probation.
Lindsay Lohan has been released from a Los Angeles County Jail on $75,000 bail.
On April 22, the troubled actress was sentenced to 120 days behind bars by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner for violating her probation by allegedly stealing a piece of designer jewelry. Lohan was also ordered to serve over 400 hours of community service, according to ABC News, 300 of which must be fulfilled at a women's center.
Shawn Holley, attorney for the "Mean Girls" star, filed a notice of appeal before court closed, which allowed the actress to be released at 9:21 p.m. on Friday. Lohan has been jailed three times prior to this incident for DUI, drug possession and probation violations.
Lohan's was originally charged with a felony stemming from the alleged jewelry theft on January 22, however Judge Sautner reduced the charge to a misdemeanor.
"I'm going to give her an opportunity," said Sautner, during sentencing.
The actress pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor, which could mean one year in jail if she is convicted.
Lohan's trial date on the misdemeanor charge is scheduled for June 3 and the pretrail date is May 11.
