Rev. Yearwood will be featured on Discovery Communications' Planet Green in a one-hour documentary titled "Hip Hop Rev," about his environmental leadership.
The documentary centers around Rev. Yearwood's one-year journey to involve urban communities in an effort to create green economy solutions, in the most challenging areas.
“I am truly grateful for this tremendous opportunity to be the subject of Planet Green’s documentary," Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. said in a statement. "I love that the audience will see what I see every day, the brilliance and beauty of young people of color fighting to save our planet. I hope this film helps more people understand that when you sacrifice for what you believe in, there are hardships, but those hardships are nothing compared to the blessings that ultimately come to you and your community.”

Our documentary captures the start of a long, uphill journey as Rev Yearwood continues his tireless fight to empower those worst hit by the environmental crisis.”
