(LOST-9FM News) The abrupt announcement of his new album title has Lil B the talk in Hip-Hop, but a gay rights group is also commenting on the revelation that the rapper's new album would be titled I'm Gay.
GLAAD, short for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, seemed skeptical in a statement to XXLmag.com.
“As a lyricist, Lil B knows that words matter. Slurs have the power to fuel intolerance," a representative from GLAAD said. "We hope that Lil B’s album title is not just a gimmick, and is really a sincere attempt to be an ally. He has the platform and the voice. We hope he uses it in a positive way.”
Lil B announced that his album would be called I'm Gay at the annual music festival Coachella, which occurred last week in California.
