Brooklyn rapper Blitz the Ambassador has announced the release date for his second studio album, Native Sun.
The album follows Blitz' last release Stereolive, which was a live rendition of his debut album, Stereotype.
Native Sun is a 12-track collection by the Ghanaian-born, Brooklyn raised rapper.
The new album tells the story of a young boy's pilgrimage from the countryside in Ghana, to the capital of Accra in search of his father, who he knows only from a picture that was given to him from his deceased mother.
Native Sun will once again feature his critically acclaimed band, The Embassy Ensemble.
Blitz also produced a short film titled titled Native Sun to accompany the album, which will be released on May 3rd.
