Atlanta rap star Cee Lo Green has been forced to reshuffled a number of UK tour dates that were slated for March of 2010, because of scheduling conflicts. TThe rapper was forced to push a number of dates slated for early in March back to the end of the month, as opposed to canceling the entire outing. Cee Lo Green will now play Glasgow 02 ABC (March 26th) Manchester Academy (March 27th), Birmingham's O2 Academy (March 28th), 02 Shepherd's Bush Empire (March 29th) and Bristol's 02 Academy (March 31st). All tickets from the original dates will be honored according to promoters.
Police in
Fairfax, California have denied reports that a Too $hort concert led to fights and arrests in Y on Saturday night (January 22nd). The rapper performed at a club named 19 Broadway. Shortly after the concert, police arrested a variety of people for crimes ranging from drunk driving to assault, as a 54-year-old man was punched and knocked unconscious. Local media blamed an unruly crowd from the Too $hort concert, but police dismissed the reports. According to Fairfax Police Chief Chris Morin, none of the arrests were related to the rap concert, which drew over 200 fans. Officer Morin labeled the Too $hort concert a "peaceful event" and denied any connection between the rap concert and the rowdy street hooligans.
Lawrence, Massachusetts rapper Reks has announced a new album titled R.E.K.S. (Rhythmatic Eternal Kings Supreme) which will land in stores this March via Statik Selektah's imprint, Showoff Records with distribution by Bricks Records. Reks has assembled an all-star team of producers on the album, which features tracks by DJ Premier,
Pete Rock, Hi-Tek, The Alchemist, Sha Money XL, Notts and others. R.E.K.S., which is the rapper's third official album, also features guest appearances by Lil Fame of MOP, Freeway, Termanology, Styles P. and others. R.E.K.S. is due in stores on March 8th.
