Writers Alfred “Paper Love” Green and Raheim Pope, producers of “Ready To Die,” were arrested on Wednesday (July 19) at a Barnes & Noble bookstore.
According to the Connecticut Post, Green, 40 and Pope, 37, were caught taking hundreds-of-dollars worth of books from the Barnes & Noble, and fleeing without paying for the merchandise.
Police later found the books in a nearby Jaguar and determined that they were taken by the men without paying.
The men initially denied owning the Jaguar, which had Georgia license plates.
But in a stunning turn of events, Green told officers that he had been arrested with Pope before and that the key to the Jaguar was in Pope’s rectum.
When police produced a metal detector and scanned Pope’s body, they found the key to the Jaguar hidden inside of his rectum.
He used the key to start the Jaguar.
The total amount of books stolen from Barnes & Noble was $888.
Both men were charged with 5th degree larceny and conspiracy charges, while Pope was hit with an extra charge of interfering with an officer.
Both men have been released on bond.
