The new series features the reality star attempting to keep her troubled family together, as she attempts to carve out a career as an author.
During the season, viewers get to watch Toya as she supports her mother through her drug addiction, while taking care of her four brothers.
Her oldest brother Walter recently was freed from a 10-year prison bid, her other brother Rudy is taking his studies serious, another named Casey is raising a young child, while Josh deals with the troubles of everyday life.
The show also focuses on Toya's relationship with Reginae, her 11-year-old daughter with Lil Wayne, as well as a possible marriage to producer Memphitz.
As an author, Toya is preparing for the release of "Priceless Inspirations," an inspirational book for teenage girls, that is being released by Farrah Gray Publishing on April 15.
Lil Wayne wrote the forward to the book.
"Toya: A Family Affair" is set to debut April 12th on BET at 10:00 PM.
