The Southern Entertainment Awards & Conference recently took place in Memphis, Tennessee from March 3rd-6th at the Cannon Center and drew more than 1,500 people.
Attendees experienced panel discussions, artist showcases, networking opportunities, product demonstrations and of course, the awards ceremony.
The 4-day conference and awards show brought together music professionals, artists, DJs, media outlets and more to network, build relationships and celebrate the culture of ‘Southern Entertainment’.
Atlanta turntablist DJ Scream took the top honor of #1 DJ of the South beating out a number of respected talent, including fellow Hot 107.9 co-worker DJ Drama, DJ Jelly, DJ Aaries and Bigga Rankin, to name a few.
The Sirius Satellite Hip Hop Nation host and winner of 2009’a Mixtape DJ of the Year award was graciously moved by the win.
“I am humbled and honored to receive the #1 DJ in the South Award from the Southern Entertainment Awards. I accept this award for my whole team and movement, Hoodrich, and look forward to making 2011 my most successful year ever!” an excited DJ Scream told AllHipHop.com.
DJ Scream is currently working on mixtape projects with Plies and Rocko and is still getting positive feedback from the Travis Porter "Music, Money, Magnums" mixtape, also hosted by DJ Teknikz and DJ Drama.
The SEA’s has helped more than 5,000 artists throughout the Southeast Region including Nicki Minaj, Drumma Boy, Gucci Mane, B.O.B, Algebra Blessett, Kia Shine and others.
