Run-DMC Photos Result In Lawsuit Against Live Nation

A set of Run-DMC photos are at the center of a lawsuit filed by legendary Hip-Hop Photographer Glen Friedman, who has filed a lawsuit against concert promotion giant, Live Nation.

Friedman filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Live Nation, Art.com and Anthill Trading in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, yesterday (March 9th).

Friedman claims that each of the defendants have exploited his images of Run-DMC by selling clothing and calendars without the proper permission.

According to the complaint, the defendants in the lawsuits allegedly "had access to the subject images, without limitations, access through books, access through copies published on the Internet and access through illegal copies."

The photographer claims Live Nation illegally profited using four of his images of Run-DMC.

Friedman is seeking all profits derived from the sales of the T-shirt and calendars, in addition to lawyer fees and court costs.
