Rapper Cee Lo Green has been tapped to participate in a highly anticipated re-release of material by legendary guitarist, Jimi Hendrix.
Experience Hendrix and Sony Legacy Recordings control the majority of the late-guitarist's catalog material.
The companies are planning to release a variety of new and unreleased material.
In April, Experience Hendrix will release Power of Soul: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix.
Cee-Loo Green contributed his own version of Hendrix' classic 1967 rocker, "Foxey Lady."
Other artists checking in on Power of Soul include Sting, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn, Prince, Musiq Soulchild, Robert Randolph, Bootsy Collins, Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz and others.
The release is one of several that Experience Hendrix will drop over the next 12 months.
Also slated to be released is a re-release of the classic 1997 album South Saturn Deltaon 12" vinyl and the album Jimi Hendrix: Band of Gypsys (Live at Fillmore East).
Power of Soul: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix is due in stores on April 12th, in conjunction with Record Store Day.
